Story Of A Laugh At Hell by Tony Castle

It was in the center of Africa and the pastor had just delivered himself of a fire and brimstone sermon on hell. In order a visual dimension to his words, he dug a poster card picture out of his collection and hung it on the church bulletin board. It was an ultra realistic painting of the pains of hell by that famous French Bible illustrator called Dore.
As he was enjoying his belated breakfast, the pastor was suddenly brought up short by howls of laughter and screams of delight coming from the crowd surrounding the bulletin board.
Storming out of the house, he shouted, "Silence! What do you mean by all this noise? Hell is not a laughing matter."
One of the congregation took the pastor by the arm and then pointed up to the picture. "Don't you see, Father?" he remarked. "Look! All the people in hell are white!"
